Milan changing culture, system for Bearden’s defense

Bearden defensive coordinator Brian Milan didn’t have much time to adjust when taking over the Bulldogs’ defense last season.

Coach Milan’s first game as a defensive coordinator came against eventual state runner-up Maryville. Though that game didn’t fall the Bulldogs’ way, Bearden’s season took a turn with a rejuvenated defense following the loss to the Rebels up with three straight wins over top 10 teams in the state.
