Key Club sponsoring Bearden’s first Winter Formal

Bearden is introducing a new event this year, Winter Formal, hosted by Bearden’s Key Club.

The idea for winter formal was inspired by students attending other formals at other schools. Key Club questioned why Bearden did not have one, and so it was decided that it was time to host Bearden’s own winter formal.

“In college, some of my favorite memories were from formals I attended, and I decided that BHS students needed to have that experience,” Key Club sponsor Mrs. Cara Vaughn said.

The theme of winter formal will be Winter Wonderland. Anyone is able to come, freshmen to seniors, as long as they do not have OSS or any major disciplinary issues on their record. The Key Club officers and the winter formal committee are working hard to make sure winter formal is a success.

Winter formal will occur on Feb. 25 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Bridgewater Place Event Center.

Tickets are being sold in the West Mall during lunch from Dec. 12-16; ticket sales will be resumed in January after winter break.

The first 150 tickets sold will be $20 and after that the ticket cost will increase to $25 per ticket. There are only 500 tickets available.
