Stout Bearden defense leads Bulldogs into Rivalry Thursday game

The Bearden defense is the talk of the season through the Bulldogs’ first three games.

The Bulldogs are giving up just 10.3 points a game, giving them the stingiest defense in Region 1-6A.

Bearden (2-1) shut out Jefferson County in last Friday’s matchup.

“We try to create a culture of the scoreboard doesn’t matter,” defensive coordinator Brian Milan said. “The opponent doesn’t matter. We’re just going to hit anybody who shows up in a different color [jersey].”
