It’s everybody’s favorite time of the year again: state testing.

State mandated end-of-course tests are coming up, and with them, a whole host of schedule changes throughout the months of November and December. Be prepared for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to be weird for the next two weeks.

Why is it like this? Why do we spend three hours in second block one day, and then only forty minutes the next day?

The testing schedule is a collaborative effort meant to minimize disruptions as much as possible.

“We asked teachers and students how they preferred the testing schedule to look in addition to considering needs of non-tested courses,” assistant principal Mrs. Amanda Edsell said.

Mrs. Edsell is one of the key figures who supervises the testing process. She serves as a liaison between faculty, parents, and students; she also takes questions all day from concerned students and their families regarding the testing.
