Bearden’s girls basketball team is looking strong thus far in the season, winning six of their first seven.

The Lady Bulldogs knew it would be a challenge to replace last year’s graduates Trinity Lee and Grace van Rij, who went on to play for King University and Furman, respectively. Lee scored over 1,600 points in her time at Bearden.

“[Y]ou don’t expect it to be just one person to fill that role,” Coach Underwood said.

But Coach Underwood has asked senior Annaka Hall to increase her scoring role for the Lady Bulldogs (6-1, 1-1 District 4-AAA), and she’s answered the call – averaging 16 a game and making more than half her 3-point attempts to start the season.
