Bearden ended Maryville’s 20 game winning streak and won its seventh straight on Monday with a 41-34 victory in the District 4-AAA tournament final.

The tournament MVP was ETSU signee Jakhyia Davis, and she was joined on the all-tournament team by Avery Treadwell, Emily Gonzalez, Zneyah McLaughlin, and Jah’niya Bussell.

“It wasn’t the prettiest game, but when you have two teams that are really good offensively and defensively, it makes for a game like that,” head coach Justin Underwood said.
