The Bearden dance team has won the past two national championships in the gameday category, and they’re looking for their third in a row this week.

The Bearden dance team is on its way to Orlando to compete in nationals this week.

The dance team has won the national title in the gameday division for the past two years.

“This year, our team has worked extremely hard in order to defend our title in the gameday division,” junior Jordan James said. “We have continuously practiced and improved our routines so we can do our best in Orlando.”

James also emphasized his excitement about competing with a new team and striving for improvement in pom and jazz divisions.

Senior Ruby Fisher said her last year has been “bittersweet, but [I’m] excited to represent Bearden and compete with my best friends.

“But it is hard knowing it is my last time for everything.”

The Bark and BBN will provide updates on results next week.
