The Bearden football field will be fully occupied on Friday night â but not by football players or a marching band. SGA is hosting its second annual âFlick on the Fieldâ Second Harvest fundraiser. The event will last from 6:30-10:30 p.m. and feature the first Harry Potter film. âAfter seeing the last one, we just wanted to bring back the old Harry Potter,â Senior Class President and event coordinator Lacey Tragresser said. âItâs what we grew up with.â Before the film, refreshments will be available and guests will enjoy entertainment by Bearden a cappella and senior Travis Grahamâs band. At approximately 8:30, Harry Potter and the Sorcererâs Stone will begin, displayed on a 20-ft inflatable. âWho wouldnât want to see a young Ron Weasley?â Tragesser said. âI would.â Tickets will be on sale during lunch for $6 until Thursday, or they can be purchased for $8 at the gate on Friday night. Ticket price includes a dinner of chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. Other concessions, including cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones, will be available for purchase. The Harry Potter Club will also be there, recruiting new members and providing âbutterbeerâ and âchocolate wandsâ for a small charge. Although chairs are not allowed on the field, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets for the film. Dressing up is not required, but Hogwarts attire is welcome.
